Yes, it's true, even the best Granny's Turned Nanny's have to be "down" a coupla days, though not often! I had a few fillings to be done on my teeth and decided to do them in one fell swoop, meaning upper and lower and the ensuing numbing agent wrecked havoc on my facial muscles. Don't quite know if my MS came into play, however, the numbing agent wore off slowly and the ability to form words, chew, pucker, move tongue much was even slower to return - we're talking hours upon hours and THAT was disconcerting!! If there's anything this Nanny Turned Granny needs it's the ability to speak, smile, laugh and get on with her day! So some pampering was in order...rest, milkshakes, comedy movies on the tube...total spoiling, and Granny loved it!
Alas, one can never get a dedicated Granny to turn off completely (our brains ALWAYS keep running)! So, while resting and sipping and giggling, my mind went over plans for the next few days and projects - WHAT FUN! Remember EVERYDAY is a blessing!
...and we are in the Christmas gift making countdown for handmade/homemade gifts and the ticking of the clock is a bit louder and faster each day.
Stay tuned...
Granny will be up and running soon.
