Being Me

So, here's the EXPLANATION page of being who I am. People always ask. I am, like you, many things; mom, grandmother, friend, professional, student, and wedding officiate. I love old films and Film Noir and know tons of trivia abt each. TCM is my friend! I rescue dogs. I am an Extreme Couponer. I have MS.

I am a paranormal investigator/researher of the SCIENTIFIC kind. I hold several degrees in mainstream subjects and I'm not finished yet! I am an artist, am creative and use the outlets of  baking, cooking, painting, and sewing to express myself. I am a gardener. I love the soil and growing things. I am a Medium, bridging communication when possible. I hold certificates in Reiki Healing Arts.

 I incorporate everything into the whole, don't we all?

Things I am not?

I am not a witch, though I know some. I am not a Satanist, and don't know any, thankfully. I am a follower of Buddhism and know a few Buddhists, too. I have Buddhist and Christian friends, Hindi, Humanist, Jewish, Muslim, Native American, and Wiccan friends. I am Liberal, and have Liberal, Libertarian, and Republican friends.

So no coven meetings here abouts, my chants are age old and Buddhist for meditative purposes. I like Scentsy better than incense, love Yankee Candles!  I may have bats around, not sure, but they'd be of  the "Bats in the Belfry" order! I cannot drive a stick so brooms are out. When some folks hear Medium, sometimes their minds make a strange and none too bright association with Dark Arts. Odd. (not to mention witch lore has the brooms <--- non evil, and  satanists do not - nothing like mixing irrational fears with incorrect info).

I have been refused sales on Craigslist and thrift sites when people found out I was either Buddhist, a Paranormal Investigator, or a Medium. It bemuses me. I usually get around it, for my love of a bargain! I do not do stupid well, though, and chose to conduct myself away from it.
