Coasters From Felt - Busy Work

Busy Work

As I've mentioned earlier on this blog, I have MS. Along with some severe spine issues. And mid week last week,"out" went my back - with whom or what I don't know, but "out" it is, leaving me with tons to do and my only mobility is a wheelchair a few hours a day. Anyone who knows me knows how I hate being bored. I. Don't. Do. Well. When. Bored.
Sooo, I keep my hands busy with what my beloved Mamaw called Busy Work.
Busy Work is what you do yo keep busy and keep from going insane. Busy Work might be the work you set aside to do when more pressing things are attended to, like darning. Does anyone darn anything anymore? Well, yes, I do! lol Or replace buttons? Or repair pics on knits? Re-secure a hem? Mostly these days my busy work is finishing sewing projects that may have fallen by the wayside before being completed. I started doing coasters, too, cause they are so dang nabbit cute. I didn't plan on giving so many designs but they have become nice Busy Work for me when I have to lie flat and elevate legs. Or am in wheelchair and cannot reach sewing machine pedal.
So here are two additional designs, Maple Leaf and Penguin.
These are pretty self explanatory. I cut templates wider than glass bottoms, cut templates for eyes, tummy, and beak.. Secure with a hem stitch and you have a nice edging.
Easy Peasy
